Katie Haugh
USDF Certified Instructor and USDF Bronze and Silver Medalist
Katie Haugh is a Leesburg, VA-based USDF Certified Instructor and USDF Bronze and Silver medalist who has a history of local and national competition in dressage, hunters, eventing, and pony club.
Riding since age 5 at her family’s farm in Paeonian Springs, VA, Katie has been passionate about horses and riding her whole life. Throughout her career, she has trained with some of the most noted names in the equestrian community, including:
- FEI Rider/Trainer/Writer- Felicitas von Neumann-Cosel
- USDF Gold Medalist Mary Flood
- German FEI “I” Judge, Christoph Hess
- Danish Olympian, Lars Peterson
- The former head of the Spanish Riding School, Monolo Mendez
- Europe at Dressuurstal Van Bedaf in Etten-Leur Holland with Grand Prix Rider Hans van Bedaf
- British Olympian Jeremy Beale
Complementing her riding career, Katie is a passionate and dedicated educator. A certified teacher in the state of Virginia, Katie brings her educational credentials and experience to the training ring every day. Her patient and methodical teaching style allows her to bring the equestrian expertise she holds to her all of her riding students, from children to adults and from beginners to advanced riders.
Katie is currently competing Wiecor VA, a Hanoverian gelding owned by March Enders at the FEI Levels and Rugby V, a Dutch cross gelding owned by Susan Lynch at Training Level and First Level dressage.
